Andrew began training with weights in 1994 and competed in his first bodybuilding competition in 1997, earning the title of Mr. High School Wyoming, taking the overall championship. During the next four years he competed in a number of other bodybuilding competitions earning a spot in the NPC Nationals. Shifting his focus he decided to compete in his first powerlifting competition in 2002. After that he was locked in on powerlifting. Over the next decade, Andrew continued to compete and eventually Qualified for USPA World powerlifting meet in 2013 and again in 2014 placing 2nd and earning an elite classification. Andrew also competes in Strongman events including the 2012 Cowboy State Strongman Classic and the 2013 Energy Capital Indoor Classic.
Andrew opened Wyoming Athlete Development (WAD) in 2011 because of his passion to pass on the importance of strength and conditioning to Wyoming’s youth. He went on to gain many certifications including, The Cooper Institute Personal Trainer certification, Law Enforcement Fitness Specialist and Certified Powerlifting Coach Practitioner certification. He was also awarded the Governor’s excellence in Fitness and Sports and is also a sitting board member of the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and sports.
Because of his passion, Andrew has coached athletes of many disciplines including law enforcement, Navy SEALS, football, volleyball, hockey, track, basketball and wrestling to name a few. He always strives to make others better and is focused to make Wyoming a stronger state.
