Your United States Strongman is about opportunities for all of our athletes. We are especially proud of our commitment to the growth of the women's segment of the sport not only in increased competition opportunities, but in leadership roles as well. We are proud to announce Whitney Peacock as our second Florida State Rep. Whitney was born in Georgia and moved to Florida when she was eight years old. She played Basketball in middle school, and she was even on the cheerleading team as the mascot. Yes, she got to dress up as a roadrunner. When she started high school she found love in Volleyball and played Basketball in the off season as a way to stay busy and in shape. As she graduated high school and set foot in the real world, she found crossfit in her late 20’s. She got serious about crossfit about two years ago. Her coach must have seen something in her because he asked her in early 2015 if she would like to compete in a strongman competition. She said “yes” and she went for it.
Her first strongman competition was in August 2015 where she placed 3rd and qualified for Nationals. She started 2016 with goals to compete more this year. She just competed in Macon, GA at Central Georgia’s Strongest where she beat and now holds the women’s SHW deadlift record of 420lbs. She is excited to compete in June at USS Nationals. Whitney feels like she still has so much to learn but she loves the sport. She is super excited to help grow the sport of Strongman.
Welcome aboard, Whitney!
