My name is Samantha Coleman, but many know me as “The Big Princess”. I hold multiple world records in powerlifting and strongman. Currently, I hold the 9 inch log clean and press record of 265 pounds and the 12 inch log clean and press record of 270 pounds. Additionally, I hold the strongman deadlift record of 600 pounds and the axel clean and press record of 265 pounds. In 2018, I was published in the Guinness Book of World records for my 661 pound squat!
I have a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and work as a legal assistant in for Chattanooga TN Law Firm.
I have been competing in strongman for a little over 3 years. I’ve always been interested in strongman, but began my strength career with powerlifting. One day in my home Gym at the Grit House, I decided to give a 700 pound tire flip a try. When I was able to flip it with ease, United States Strongman Tennessee State Rep Larry Berry told me I needed to sign up for my first competition which was in April of 2015. I competed and won my first USS National Championship title in 2016 and I am the USS World Champion for 2016 and 2017. I love the sport of strongman and I love encouraging and empowering other women to become involved. I also work closely with a few charity organizations including Lift 4 kids hosted by Grit House, Hannah’s Care Packages, and HopeKids.
