30 Years and Still Going Strong! US Strongman President Talks ABout Competition Longevity.

On February 7th I competed at John Albrecht's Mega Balls event. This marks my 30th year competing in strength sports. How did I do it? I took my time. Strength will come if you train correctly, eat and give you body recovery time. Listen to guys who have been there before you. Chad Coy, Brian Neese, Odd Haugen, Van Hatfield just to name a few. These guys know how to train and that is why they can still do it today. I have trained with everyone of them and many more. It has been my pleasure to work with all of these great strongman athletes.

What about injuries? They do happen to all of us. Take care of your body. I see a chiropractor as often as needed. Logan School of Chiropractor's has kept in great shape. Sometime I get a massage. Stretching helps me, too. Make sure your warmed up and stay well hydrated. Most of all train smart and listen to your body. We all have great days and not so great days.

It's ok.

Your friend in Strength,

Willie Wessels
