Hello again from your USS 2018 Nationals promoter!!! I am astounded that we received 391 athletes on board for the biggest Strongman competition ever to take place on June, 30th 2018!!!
Here’s what you need to know:
Friday, June 29th 2018
Weigh ins are at the Westchester Marriott from 9am-7pm. Located in Salons E-H. No appointment necessary. Just show up during those hours. When you enter there will be 2 lines to the left. One is to show your valid 2018 registration sticker to proceed to the scale. The other is to renew and pay $20 if you do not have one. Everyone must weigh in. Then you’ll continue clockwise after weigh-in to get your athlete bag. Inside will be your competition shirt, extra shirts, sponsor giveaways, banquet ticket, extra banquet tickets, badge, etc. We have announced a couple food establishments where you can re-fuel. I am suggesting Frank’s Food Court on route 199, Tarrytown Rd, directly in the middle of hotel and venue. There is a sandwich called the NY Strong you might want to try! 😉
7:30pm the rules meeting will take place that you must attend. Ask questions here and not the next day during competition, thank you. This will be in the same room, Salons E-H. We will be packed so asking athletes and staff only.

See further down this page for shuttle bus info. You can drive and it’s $10 for parking paid to the venue. Spectator tickets can be purchased at the box office located inside the County Center to the left. Arrival can begin at 7am. This is suggested to get your bags on the stage which is the athlete area. You can bring and should anything you would use for training and to compete. Your cooler with food and water and chalk, belts, tacky, etc. You will be allowed to warm up on the DB from 7:30am to 8:45. We will have a live performance of the National Anthem at 8:45 and the 1st event starts at 9am sharp. Starting with DB, then Car DL, then Tire, Sled Medley, then Truck Pull, then Stone Series. Every weight class/lane will have a judge, scribe and expeditor. It will be loud and packed, so it is your job to know your expeditor and where you need to be. This is YOUR Nationals and your responsibility to be prepared.
It’s going to be a long day but with your help we will finish in record time. The banquet is back at the Westchester Marriot and will start the buffet at 8pm and go to 9:30pm. From here on we will announce the winners and hand out trophies and belts and you will find out when and where Nationals 2019 will be! There are only about 50 seats left so if your family is coming I suggest purchasing a ticket now via the online registration you used to sign up. If there are seats left, yes, we will sell at the door.
Now for event updates! PLEASE LOOK THIS OVER! There are only a couple minor changes for some. No one wants to be there until midnight, so we grouped certain classes appropriately.

Friday, 6/29/18 – Airport arrivals:
Red Oak offers individual car service (no shuttle bus service). Attendees can call or email Red Oak and reserve a car for up to 4 passengers, SUV or Van. Private sedan rates listed below are all-inclusive (tip, toll, and tax) and I discounted the base by 10%. SUVs and vans are also available at the Red Oak rates minus 10% discount.
Saturday, 6/30/18 – Complimentary shuttle:

First come, first served
Morning 6:00 to 10:00 am – shuttles every ½ hour from the Westchester Marriott to the County Center starting at 6:00 am and the last shuttle at 10:00 am (dropping off at 10:15 am)
Afternoon 4:00 to 8:00 pm – shuttles every ½ hour from the County Center to the Westchester Marriott starting at 4:00 pm and the last shuttle at 8:00 pm (dropping off at 8:15 pm)
Sunday, 7/1/18 – Airport departures:
Red Oak will run scheduled shuttle buses to the area airports and charge a per person rate.
LGA, JFK and EWR: 8:00 am and 12:00 pm shuttle bus to each airport
Westchester County Airport (HPN): 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 and 12:00 noon shuttle bus to HPN
